Nice book to read, but sometimes the discriptions were vague and it was hard to follow what happened in the action scenes. Also there could be some more depth in the background, as I found the Realms a little bit disappointing. Still, original and a good read. Having read the whole series, I can tell you that the books do get better. Rebel Angels was the book that got me completely hooked, and The Sweet Far Thing was absolutely brilliant. I recommend this to people interested in the Victorian way of life, otherwise you might find these books quite boring.
